Since founding Living Adventure Holidays (P) Ltd. in 2005, Anil has been at the forefront of the country’s travel and tourism industry, leading the company to become a symbol of excellence. With over 30 years of experience in the sector, he has utilized his passion for adventure and his commitment to community development to create lasting change.
Born and raised in Nuwakot, Anil’s educational journey took him to MIT (Management Institute of Tourism), where he specialized in Sustainable Tourism Development, further honing his skills at London University. This academic foundation, coupled with his practical experience, equipped him to tackle the challenges and opportunities within Nepal's tourism sector.
Before founding Living Adventure Holidays, Anil contributed to the industry in various capacities, including roles at Sotta Nepal and other tourism organizations. His leadership, insight into Nepal’s tourism sector, and entrepreneurial spirit inspired him to transition into founding his own company. Under his leadership, the company has not only thrived in offering authentic travel experiences but also invested in sectors like hotel management, agriculture, and mini-industries, diversifying his contribution to Nepal’s economy.
Anil’s core values of transparency, integrity, and responsibility form the foundation of his work. He believes that tourism is a powerful tool to uplift communities, preserve culture, and promote environmental sustainability. Born in Pyuthan, Nepal, and raised in the scenic plains of Chitwan, Sagar Thapa developed a deep connection to nature from a young age. Surrounded by Nepal’s rich biodiversity, he grew to appreciate the country’s stunning landscapes, which sparked his lifelong passion for the tourism and adventure industry. Academic Excellence & Professional Development Sagar holds a Master’s degree in Rural Development from Tribhuvan University (T.U.), and a Master’s in Research International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Bologna. Additionally, he has earned a certification in sustainable tourism development. He has also received specialized training in tour management, trekking, and mountaineering from the Nepal Ministry of Culture & Tourism and the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. Journey in the Travel & Adventure Industry Sagar’s professional journey began with the founding of his company, Living Holidays, in 2014. Since then, he has led numerous expeditions to renowned trekking destinations such as Everest, Annapurna, and Langtang. Shrutee Shrestha is a highly educated and experienced tours consultant, serving as the U.S. and UK representative for Living Adventure Holidays. Born in Nepal, he brings a wealth of knowledge in trekking and adventure tourism. As a licensed tours guide, he has navigated some of Nepal’s most iconic trails, including Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Manang, Mustang, Ganesh, and Dolpa regions.
Before relocating to the United States, Shretee was a tours leader with Living Adventure Holidays. Now, based in the U.S., her manages operations and assists American and UK travelers in planning their Himalayan adventures. His expertise in travel consultancy and deep familiarity with Nepal’s mountains make him an invaluable asset in promoting Himalayan tourism globally.
